David and I got out of the house this last weekend, despite him being on call. I knew we were going down to Serramonte to do some shopping and I had a hankering for waffles, so I looked in yelp for help. I found JoAnn's Cafe in South San Francisco and hoping they had waffles trundled down. It turned out that they didn't have waffles, but

When I asked for the "Eggs Beatrice," I thought I had ordered the femme one. But when she plopped down the dish topped with confetti fruit (mango! blueberry! strawberry!) and the day-glo pink berry butter, pinned to the top pancake with a festive toothpick, I knew the crown belonged to you that morning.

We went to Daiso before Target. I was pleased to find that pickle container because the other one we have doesn't handle large amounts of vegetables very well. The clamps of the new one seem a little more sturdy.

Fred MacMurray plays somewhat out of type in "The Apartment." It was creepy.
