How is it that something as simple as a phone call could cause an eruption between my parents? I just wish I understood why everything between them turned into an argument. I don't know if your parents are ever going to be able to get over whatever it is that's making them live their lives like this, but you just need to remember it's not YOUR life and you can decide your future. That is so hard. I wish I had that magical advice to help fix it, but Alissa's right, it's not something you can control.

Maybe this seems like a stupid thing to say in the midst of problems, but just with all the family stuff you've gone through, and how important relationships are to you, you've learned so much from this and are going to such an amazing, loving mother someday.
