It was in the dressing room where Minho saw the most beautiful figure his eyes could ever lay upon.
"Minnie..." The taller one called out in a soft voice
Of all the days he decided to appear in front of Taemin - he chose his wedding day
"Minmin is that you?" Taemin flashed a smile - his infamous eye smile Minho loved so much
"The one and only" Minho reciprocated the same smile, although it was not as bright as he wanted it to appear
"Oh my god! You came!" Taemin ran to the taller one and hugged him tight "Where have you been all these years?" He looked up at him with shining eyes, pink cheeks and plump lips
"Wandering around..."Minho answered as he savored the smaller one's touch. Taemin never changed, he's still warm like before, still lovely and sweet - he's still the Taemin Minho loved so much
"I missed you Minmin" The smaller one hugged him tighter, squishing Minho like he's a fluffy teddy bear "I will never forget how you saved me from those fat bullies when we were young"
It's been years but it surprises Minho how they still call each other by their "nicknames" - it was childish, but they both loved it
"I can't believe you're talking about those bullies on your wedding day" He chuckled, playfully pinching Taemin's cheek as he broke their hug
"I can't believe you're so much taller than me now!" Taemin pouted running his eyes on Minho from head to toe, he always hated their height difference
"You're so beautiful Minnie" Having a closer view of the smaller one's face, he can't help but adore the angel in front of him
"You use to tell me that everyday" There was a hint of pain in Taemin's voice, a hint of regret - a hint of their past
"I'd still tell you everyday if I can" That was when Minho faked a smile "I'm happy for you Lee Taemin" and that was one of the most painful lies Minho told him, for he was nowhere near the word happy, not even near the word okay.
Please be happy with him
So I can forget you
"Thank you Minmin" Wrapping his arms around Minho's body, Taemin embraced him for the second time "Thank you for everything" Taemin's voice cracked - a sign that he was about to cry
"Taemin?" An unfamiliar voice butted in "Ven is waiting outside, the ceremony will begin shortly. You need to hurry!" It was the wedding coordinator, she broke into the room looking disoriented as always
"Oh! I forgot! It's getting crazy outside" Taemin grabbed his bouquet in panic "See you at the party later, I'll introduce you to Ven"
"I'm sorry but I need to leave now. I have a flight to catch, I just dropped by to see you" Minho cut it short, he would never be able to bear the sight of Taemin marrying another "I promised you before that I'll be present on your special day right? I came here to fulfill my promise."
Looking into each other's eyes, both reminisced the promise they made in the past.
Would you be there on my wedding day?
Of course babe! Why wouldn't I be there?
Promise?
I promise! Who else do you plan to marry Lee Taemin?
Only you Choi Minho.
Of course, you shall only marry me Taemin.
"LEE TAEMIN WHAT ARE YOU STILL DOING HERE YOUR WEDDING IS ABOUT TO START VEN IS WAITING AND --" Key broke into the scene looking so frustrated as if a bomb just landed inside the chapel
"Oh Minho. Y-you're here" He gasped as if he saw a ghost
"Hi Kibum. Still nosy, I see" Minho laughed, Key was exactly the same when he last saw him
"Some things never change" The umma replied with a smile
"I guess I really have to go now. Minho, you take care of yourself okay?" Taemin held Minho's eyes, exchanging words only the two of them can understand, exchanging feelings only their hearts can feel "Thank you for coming, I really appreciate it" He then hugged the taller one goodbye
Some say it's not over till it's over
but I guess this is really over now
"Call me when you're free" Taemin sprinted his way out of the room, leaving Minho with that smile - that precious smile even amnesia won't make him forget
Seeing Taemin walk down the aisle, Minho's heart broke in ways more than one
If he had it his way, he would be the one standing at the end of the aisle
If he had it his way, he would be the one Taemin would vow to spend forever with
If he had it his way, his heart would never break the way it is breaking now
Remember I will always be here for you even if it kills me to see you in that wedding dress.

Walking down the aisle, I felt tears of regret roll down my eyes.
If I had it my way, you would be the one waiting for me at the end of that aisle
