Been watching "lie to me" on hulu recently. Its pretty fucking excellent. For those who dont know, its about a guy who uses the science of facial expressions and other "tells" to solve various types of cases for governmental organizations and other private clients. In...I think it was Blink, they talk about some system of recognizing microexpressions, maybe with the auspicious acronym FACE. Anyway, it sounded awesome and now I'm sad that you guys are watching this neat tv show without me.

For the record, the method of using a parenthetical aside that is so long as to induce short term amnesia in one's readers is actually one of my personal favorite writing styles.

Anyway, everyone knows that face readers and number crunchers don't really solve crimes. You who really solves crimes? Psychics. Psychics and lanky guys with skeptical redheaded companions. That's what I learned from tv.
