I'm writing this on my sexy new laptop from Vanessa'a new place in Sydney, using the internet connection of one of the very thoughtful neighbours who left their wireless network unsecured for me to jump onto. Unfortunately they didn't have any interesting files laying around in their shared documents folders

Shs does come up with some good stories, but at times I wish her editor had been harsher and cut the crap out...

(Eg Queen of the damned and the vampire lestat(sp) could have been reduced into one book without loosing anything.. )

I'm assuming you are talking about the "I'm Lestat, and I've got this amazing blue eyes and dammed sexy hair, and my god what a good actor I am" parts?

These are my favorite parts of the book! I loved the world from Lestat's eyes, especially the way he described himself. Lestat was utterly self obsessed, why not? The way she paints whatever city they go to at the start... Paris is it? Its just awesome. I felt like I could have been there. It's one of the most engrossing novels I've ever read.
