Robin is right. 1984 is what you're after.

After searching around on google, apparently there is a movie made about it - released in 1984 amusingly enough. Oooo and the movie has boobies!

The others are right, it's 1984. It was written in 1948, as an imaginary piece on what the world would be like under communism. It's where the term Big Brother comes from. I don't want to give too much away, but I think it's very good. You'll understand a lot more of what the smelly hippies at uni were always protesting about, when they said we're becoming an Orwellian society :)

I read a book by David and Leigh Eddings that is by far worse than Redemption (which I've also read). It's called Reginas Song, or something like that. It's the only book I've ever read that I couldn't physically bring myself to finish. It was that bad.

They've really gone to shit.

I typed "Regina's Song" into Google and the fourth entry down came from a review site, and Google seleced the following text to display:

"after 424 pages of this sort of stuff you may find your home's supply of brown paper bags substantially depleted."

Hahaha

I won't mention that 1984 is what you're after.....oops.

But I will say this, David Eddings lost in on Redemption. Callun is also cporrect in his appraisal of the "Eddings I dare Not Mention". however, you could still learn a lot from how he(& his wife) writes.

Either way, it's better than the plageristic crap that Brooks pumped out.

Just my gripe. ;o)

I wanna see you writing though boy! Don't give up on it. And DON'T think that hollywood get's it right either! Just go with what's in you already.

Thanks for mentioning that you wouldn't mention 1984.

One of the problems I have is that I don't even realise when I'm being plagerised at, since there are so many things that I haven't read before. As I said, I used to think that David Eddings was the best, and while his earlier stuff smashes his newer stuff, it's not the best any more.

And I certainly don't intend giving up on something until I've at least had a serious go at it :p. Thanks for the encouragement tho!
