Everything is pretty grim at the moment. Snaggle (rat) has a growth on her chest. It is something she's had for a while and it has been slowly getting bigger. Now Snaggle is an old dear with a cataract in one eye and she's going deaf,but she is very set in her ways and she hates being handled (she will bite you if you try). To get her attantion you

Thanks CaffCaff. We've just got back from the vets, we've brought her home with us. She looks so peaceful just as she did last night when she was asleep. We will bury her with her sister later. The vet was very nice, he gave a her a bit of gas to make her sleep before they gave her the injection. I know I have done the right thing, but I still feel like shit.

While we were at the vets, the vet told me that the my rat was actually called Taddy, not Snaggle. Snaggle is the one that died lasy year! Some pet owner I am, I can't even remember the name of my own rat!

I know hon...its the worse thing we have to do as loving pet owners isnt it :o(
