Well it's been a busy two weeks. That's pretty much why there hasn't been a lot of updating going on, but now this forced LJ block is gone seeing as the cause of my busy-beeness and stress is over. Haha you know orchids need intensive care because they're so sensitive, right? I could invite my dad over so he can give you a 30 minute presentation (they're his favourite flower) but I think you'd rather pass. Is it a potted orchid or just the flower? :o I like them. They're pretty.

It's potted and the instructions given with it weren't very informative. I, too, thought that orchids needed a lot of work but perhaps this breed is more hard-wearing because it said to just water regularly and not leave in direct sunlight but in a light place. It also said to feed it food every once in a while.

*mental image of me trying to stuff a cookie in an orchid's non-existant mouth*

From what I know, they don't sit in soil but that stuff we've got on the school playground. Core or whatever it's called. And no direct sunlight, but keep in a relatively light place. I know it doesn't bloom much and is very very picky. I don't think my mum waters them that often but we might have a different breed - those that come out of the rainforest are more picky. Those that were bred are pretty standard plants.
