Yamada glanced at his mother before returning his gaze out the window.
"You're different now. You're personality has completely changed. Why?"

"You're letting people take advantage of you. Why?"
What else am I supposed to do?
"It isn't right, Ryosuke. You need to speak up for yourself. Speak."
What am I supposed to say?
"I just don't want you to one day fall in love-"
I already did.
"-and see you giving and giving while your partner just takes."
He would never do that.
"I want to see you in a good relationship. I want to see you happy with someone."
But he's gone.
"I don't mean to open an old wound or anything, but I think your friendship with Chinen-"
Friendship?
"-was one of the best relationships you've had."
