Yamada didn't know how long he was supposed to wait. Honestly, he was terrified. What if Chinen had forgotten him by now? What if Chinen was just still waiting for a chance to see him again? What if his father hurt him? What then? Chinen was his whole world.
This. This. This had me clutching my heart and tries to stop tears from spilling. Literally. And if only I didn't have fever, I would have started bawling my eyes out with that statement.

I think I haven't read the first one, I'll go and read it now though.

PS. I said I'll stop myself from reading angst but I guess I'm just a sucker for them.
