So far winter in Japan is "very cold in the morning, clear in the afternoon so it heats up to around 40 degrees." It's supposed to get cold in January/February... but so far not even a hint of snow. I don't think it's dropped below freezing more than once or twice, even at night.
Considering that houses/apartments here are not built with insulation or central heating, I am OK with that.

We have no snow in New Hampshire. NONE. My sister has snow in North Carolina, and there's nothing here.
