With the countless hours I have spent on the team I was expecting more than a 0-4 record. The truth is, I am disappointed. A failure on my part to coach probably have been the vague and boring explaining. But I also learned that it requires passion from each and every single player. That they enjoy playing and want to improve. It is impossible for ( Read more... )

You will most likely see me once again on the field Melvin. In fact, i'm planning to get a job so that I'll have enough money for hat league/ the T-shirt when I do sign up over summer. I do hope that more people continue to play, as despite all the losses, I had still a lot of fun. (Not to mention the whole Emma thing...rworr :-) )

So, to end this, I'll see you on the field once again Melvin. I'll be the one with the "Die Nerd Boy" shirt...

Melvin, great job coaching the team. I think that you made 100% of the practices (I missed one, ah well...), and you were the only person who really knew what was going on. Hopefully you will be able to join a better team next year, we never really came together as a cooperating team. Seeya tomorrow.

Good job, coach melvin. I agree you did a great job for the experience level you're at, and the responsibility placed on you by sukol. Personally, I think a lot of our misfortune can be chalked up to basic inexperience in our players. Last year, you had a lot of athletic folks and people who knew about frisbee, not the least of which was carson. This year, we have a few ringers(of which i am admittedly not) and a bunch of kids who dont really know what's going on. Oddly enough, besides just a lack of organization on the field, another thing thats hurting us is stupid stuff like people making bad throws and dropping easy endzone passes. I'm not sure what you can do about stuff like that. Rest assured, you did much more for the sport of ultimate frisbee than that 5 ft hippie ever did.
