The thermometer insists it is 20F outside. However, there is a freezing cold gale-force wind that, when added to the equation, makes it colder than a witch's tit. That's a technical term. I've heard "cut off your nose to spite your face", the thumb one is new though. We say some pretty weird stuff. :)
