So, due to visa problems, I am unexpectedly in Tokyo until Monday. All by myself, with nothing to do. I know NOTHING about this city. Suggestions (inexpensive!) are extremely welcome.

I hear Ueno Park is both pretty and free? I think free. Also, wander over to Harajuku and laugh at crazy people for free. Take pictures! It's like a modern Bedlam.

Damn, I get there next Sunday, missing you by a week. I suggest you get a map and wander - there's a lot of cool stores in the back roads/alleyways, cool antiques and stuff. It's fun to see how young America really is.

That sucks. I would have loved to have you yesterday, both because you are actually functional in this country, and because there was a big band-type group playin in Ueno park, and I wanted to lindy hop. Oh, and also 'cause I, you know, like you.
