your arguments you can say about pretty much any motion picture
it would be as if you said star wars had unrealistic situations with unbelievable super powers and creatures which are frankly frightening and indifferent to the plot development.. or indiana jones tries to be a heroic tale of a mid western scientist, but the over the top nature of this adventure thrill ride tries to do to much at once and fails at it You insult the film with no sensible logic, saying the good things are bad just cause they are
Wow, this is why I put my LJ on friends only. I can't believe someone random just came here and commented harshly on your entry Howard. XD
I'll hopefully be seeing this movie sometime this week, and I hope I will enjoy it. I've seen to comic book-movie adaptations and enjoyed them, so a third one's gonna be the best right? Right?
Oh and ignore the moron. Say what you want. People can disagree with you and you can disagree with them. Whatever the reasons, it's not a big deal, especially over a film. :)
Anyways, I disagree with your review entirely! =D I don't think the movie did a bad job of introducing Harvey Dent. It spent time talking about his position as a DA and made lots of references to it later on, things like "oh you're doing dangerous work!" and all those nice character-developmenty lines.
And the whole point of the Joker is that he doesn't -have- motivation or emotions. He's really just bat-shit insane.
Maybe I found this movie easier to follow because I'm familiar with the characters from the comic books, but the movie really did do a great job with them. [shrugs]
