This is so amazing, you have no idea now much I love it. I love the lighting in it too. I love when artists have a good grasp on light source and shadows (because I definitely don't).

Thanks! Aww, I feel kinda embarrassed getting all this praise for the lighting, seeing that I just slapped on colours where I liked without really thinking too much. ^^;

:O this is gorgeous. the glow from the lanterns is quite nice, and the way they are positioned together gives it a very private (and little voyeuristic!) feeling. Also, even though the background is very indistinct it still definitely has the feeling of being indoors. nice work!

Thank you! Yeah the background was really just scribbled in at the last minute because I realised I had half a canvas of blankness. I'm a bit fan of atmosphere and setting, but too darned lazy to actually draw them in...

as I have no idea how shadows shall be put on skin!!

Thank you. Yeah I used to steer clear of shadows and lighting effects too, until I took the plunge and found out how fun they are to just make up haha XD
