After sleeping till noon yesterday, I finally semi-recovered from the week after xmas onward. The day after xmas I went on call which lasted till the 3rd of Jan. Too many years of medicine will do that ;)
Yeah, you do kind of need to remember to eat, although I can always tell when my blood sugar is too low because I start to get the shakes like a junkie until I eat something.
That happened once or twice to me with the glipizide which was one reason I didn't mind switching off of it at all. Like you, I learned to keep something around just in case.

Didn't have one at all, that's what this weekend is about, my replacement one. On NY eve and day, I answered pages, did system checks, reprinted reports, but at least it was while the tv was on the 24 and Law and Order marathons, drinking one glass of wine, and cooking up some smokie pigs in the blanket. This weekend, goofing off, playing video games, and ignoring whatever chores might be there to be done :)
