super bowl suprise -Cardinals?
Hard to believe that the Arizona Cardinals are in the Super Bowl. Never been in their history, not even close. When the postseason began I figured they'd be out after one game, considering their history ,but somehow (over-achieving defense mostly) they managed to make it to the big game. We had a very good Thanksgiving. Plenty of family over and talked by phone to the ones who weren't

Today is a very special day. My sweetie iorhael94 is having a birthday. It has been my greatest joy to have spent the last 14 years married to her and having her as the best part of my life. and today we had another visitor to the birdseed planter...a rather plump squirrel ,stocking up for winter, ...minus sign...:) -

I put some bird seed out in an empty planter this weekend, on the front doorstep, right by the window that looks out from our den. This morning I had a few little chickadee-type visitors and then a big blue one - a Stellar Jay. Why I am no longer a Republican
Used to be one, now am not. I used to say that my party left me so I left it. But it's more than that. I guess over the years my views have changed and it is more a matter of philosophy that any set of stands on issues. Guess this is my post-Election musings

No way in the world to accurately describe the feeling last night as we counted down the last seconds to the closing of the California and Washington polls and the announcement of Barack's victory. The roar of the crowd and the dancing in the room ,filled with around 700 people, was incredible -tears of joy aplenty - the reward of a long hard- ( Read more... )
