Strange that you consider yourself to be 'not achieving'. Maybe financially you find it frustrating, but there are many other ways to measure achievement and you certainly qualify for a lot of those. I agree it'd be nice to have more money. :) However, that sentiment applies to just about everyone, no matter how much they already have!

Does your paramedic work pay well? I don't mean your pay right now, but is there a career path that rewards you as you get more experienced?

My job pays well - I kinda got screwed around with school, so I'm a ways of from a down payment. I know it's not right to be jealous of other people and their accomplishments, but it's just frustrating when you work harder and get less, if that makes any sense. I've been petty and covetous before when I was watching my peers go farther career-wise and experience-wise before, but it's different when you're watching your younger siblings beat you to milestones.

So yeah - I know I'm being kinda dumb about stupid stuff, and I feel like a fool for believing as long about education as I did. Maybe it's just a late quarter-life crisis or something.
