yesterday my sister and i went to visit my mother in the hospital. i have never seen her look that way before. she was lying on her bed with an oxygen tube in her nose and her skin looked papery and her hand was bruised from an i.v. and her other hand had another iv in it. she could barely even speak. the whole time i was there all i wanted to do

that is the worst feeling in the whole world, because nothing bad is supposed to ever happen to parents because their job is to make sure nothing bad happens to you, and when you realize that they aren't invincible its the scariest thing that can happen, i think. but mary k is the closest to invincible that i have ever seen, and so are you. lovemiss.
