the distro is officially closed. i managed to sell every last zine (except for my own, of course) in 72 hours. UNBELIEVABLE. that is literally several thousand zines. i'm not complaining though. now all that's left is packaging everything up & getting it in the mail!

Well done! I look forward to seeing what you do next, even if it is just some chillaxing. <-- Yeah, I said chillaxing!

oh, don't worry, there will be plenty of chillaxing.

Can't believe how fast it all went! Glad you'll have time for new projects and pursuits.

Thanks for all of your work and for your part in getting our zine out into people's hands. Claire and I were so excited when you decided to pick up When Language Runs Dry and we're really proud and appreciative to have been in your catalog.

"when language runs dry" is one of the zines i was most excited to pick up in the last year or so. carrying it was my pleasure.

i know! i really thought it would take more like a year, seriously. three days? that's gotta be some kind of record. it almost makes me think maybe i was too hasty in shutting down the distro--obviously people were still really into it. but then i remember how relieved i am to be done & my doubts disappear.

It is a rockstar record. Yr distro was awesome but I am a firm believer in stopping doing things when they are stressful and no longer fun whenever possible.

If a person were to believe in signs... I think this might be a sign. That you made the right decision, I mean.

i'll try to interpret it that way. it also kind of seems like a sign i should have stayed open, because people were obviously still way into the distro. but i made the right choice for myself, if nothing else.

This is the problem with interpreting signs. You're right, you could read it as a sign that people still need Paper Trail, but I think it's like the universe is saying, "Look, in just a couple of weeks (or however long it takes you to pack up all those orders) you'll be totally free!" It sounds like it was definitely the right choice for you personally, and that's what's most important.
