An opinion

I don't like it when heathens honor certain beings who are the enemies of the gods. These are the thyrses and other etins; destructive chaotic forces. I don't think I could blot, or symbel, or fain with someone who honors these beings. I believe people like this just want to be different, and to prove their differentness they honor unworthy beings ( Read more... )

Just as a point of reference since you seem to be drawing an equals sign between ordeal and physical work..I am a person who has gone through many ordeals that have not included any aspect of physical anything ( ... )

actually it was last month. So get over it. Yes no one cares yet I have dozens of comments on this one and only post about it.

And the definition of cult I'm using is from the dictionary dumbass. I guess I have to repeat myself yet again and state that it doesn't matter whether or not I like the practices. Its still a cult. There are plenty of beliefs out there that I disagree with yet they aren't cults. So quit whining that people don't like you so you get called a cult; you are a cult and that's why people don't like you.

QQ more.

Have you done any academic work in religious studies, anthropology or any field that would enable you to accurately determine what a cult is? Obviously, not. *snorts*

Because calling something a cult requires a doctorate from Harvard.

Obviously.

This whole post, and your objections to people with whom you disagree, are proof of your hypocrisy.

I think you mean "evidence of" not "proof of"(proofs are for math), and I'd only be a hypocrite if I honored these beings while shunning others for doing the same. Which I don't.

Fail.

Actually, no, your hypocrisy stems from not being part of the US mainstream religion (either Catholicism (if we're going on a church by church basis) or Evangelical Protestantism), yet having the gall to label something a cult.

That's like BDSM people calling furries perverts.

Hypo-fucking-critical.

Well, first of all, I don't give a FUCK if someone is mainstream or not. The fact that these cultists aren't mainstream have NOTHING to do with it. bahai faith isn't mainstream, yet I have more respect for their belief system than those who worship etins.

So your "mainstream religion" argument is irrrelevent.

It's like BDSM people calling pedophiles perverts. Not because they're not mainstream but because they are ACTUALLY PERVERTED.
