So, I occasionally post political comments/articles on facebook or twitter. I try not to make it too frequent but with the current environment I just can't help it. I really can't understand why anyone who isn't exceedingly rich, racists or vehemently religious would vote for Mitt Romney. The fact that a party has swung so far in one direction

Well said! I totally agree with you.

Last night there was a former Republican who has since turned Democrat because he couldn't stand the insanity of the GOP. He was Charlie Crist Jr., Former Republican Governor of Florida. The GOP hated him because he said that he thought global warming was real. There were a bunch of other things. Here's a wikipedia article about him:

Oh yeah, he actually endorsed Obama before this in a newspaper article or opinion piece... I loved that. It really shows the party is shedding anyone who is extremely to the right.
