And I thought I was in the clear...

I guess I'll see laggy scrub Kens wherever I go.

Sometimes I wonder if some players just use LP + LK (throw) mapped to their pad and just mash DF, DF. I really hate that shortcut for a shoryu in this game because people just mash down-forward as a simple DIRECTION along with a punch button and a shoryu comes out during your blockstring when you ( Read more... )

Jesus, people actually play like that? The only thing he didn't do was PA after the 2nd KO...

I have these Xbox Live Gold trial card things and I'm kinda waiting to use them. Waiting for what, though, I'm not sure. =p

Meanwhile, I'm really glad you're recording your matches, or at least, this one. I know I want to do the same thing so I can review my play more easily. How do you like the camcorder setup? (I wonder if our TV has a video out on it somewhere... hmm.)

I actually don't have a camcorder or anything, just my dinky little camera with a big flashcard. I can't deinterlace or anything so some maps look ugly but it's alright for the most part. I actually have the camera resting on an elevated cymbal from my Rock Band drum kit. =)

I also am using them to review my play and stuff. I'm noticing a lot. In this game I never seem to follow up c.LPs with throws... it's almost always c.LP into s.MP xx Kikoken. Need to mix it up a bit more. Playing against scrubs has made me play extremely cautiously since Chun has 3rd lowest vitality in the game. Just one Shoryu can mean game a lot of the time.

And the player in the video probably didn't PA after KO because you CAN'T PA after KO. It's more irritating in this game though because after the first second or so of a PA, you can cancel it with movement. I get a lot of people that just runaway taunt and there's not much you can do to punish it. Of course, taunting is taunting, so whatever.
