Character Name: Wynter Blackwell.
Race: Halfling. Half-Angel.
History: Wynter, the daughter of the wealthy James Blackwell, grew up inside a mansion where she was kept hidden for years. In the past, her father once owned a female angel, but because of continuous physical abuse, the angel was taken away from him by the government. During his ownership, she gave birth to Wynter. Because her mother was an angel, Wynter grew up with small unappealing dark wings. Her ability to heal herself was discovered when her father tied her down, at the age of seven, and attempted to cut her wings off with a large knife. Her screams and cries didn't stop him till he noticed that she self-healed. Astonished by her ability to heal herself, he continued to keep her hidden. He didn't want anyone else to benefit from her ability but him. She was his little secret.
As the years passed, her father verbally and physically abused her daily. She grew up with the belief that she was a sort of monster, a mixed-breed mutt. He made her believe that the outside world would never accept her. When she reached her seventeenth birthday, her father started a cult. In less than two years of being a cult leader, he had successfully brainwashed over five hundred people into self-suicide in the state of Alabama. James claimed that he was some sort of prophet and had foreseen an upcoming battle between the angels and humans. He preached that the only way to successfully beat them was to create some sort of ghostly supernatural force of energy in which he would lead in the afterlife. His people were all upper class citizens that believed in the benefits of angel slavery.
More than five hundred faithful followers, including him, drank from a cup that was filled with 'the blood of Christ'. In reality, it was just a poison-laced drink. Wynter, however, was never a part of this so-called cult. He never spoke of her, therefore no one knew of her existence except one person. Janine Worthington - the woman who home schooled Wynter all her life. She was the one person that treated Wynter like a true daughter, she never left the mansion because she got attached to Wynter and wanted to make sure she was well taken care of. Janine was a very old woman reaching her late sixties. Once it was known world-wide that James Blackwell was dead, she outed Wynter to the press and prepared her to deal with the outside world.
Wynter became some sort of a symbol when it came to the pro-angel organizations but an even bigger target for hunters as well because of her growing popularity. The pro-angel organizations used her as an example of the mistreatment angels receive when they're sold to abusive owners and how their offspring suffer in the outside world. As the threat of being hunted grew, she attempted to go into hiding but failed to do so when a hunter attacked her and Janine. She escaped without any threatening wounds, but Janine was killed in the process. Since then, she changed her appearance and often tries to help the freedom movement by attending marches and helping escaped angels. Currently, people call her Maggie in an attempt to keep her true identity a secret. Her wings are difficult to hide, but she often wears jackets and over-sized sweaters to keep people from finding out her truth.
