I was depressed all day today. I was tired, we had a psychology test, then we talked about emotions. The people in my psychology class are really stupid. Not all of them. But some of them are. During the test, a girl expressed, "This is hard" aloud, and I almost burst out laughing. All you have to do is memorize terms to do well on one of those ( Read more... )

Oh I know about the "perceived" hierarchy. I chose community college and I was well aware that I probably wouldn't always receive the highest standard of college level education. However, I have heard nothing but praise for the two-year Vet Tech program, both from those at the college and graduates of the program, and that is the main reason I chose PCC. I could have gone straight to a four year college and tried to get into vet school, but from what I have heard, that's difficult right out of high school, and it's better to go through a two year course. That way you can learn more about the field through hands-on experience and actual work, and find out if that's what you actually enjoy. Medication is something I've thought about too. As soon as you start on it, it makes it way way hard to be off it. I don't reccomend it.

Best thing I can suggest is eating well and getting exercise. And as silly as this might sound- take 20 minutes or so, or however long you want and just concentrate on what's going well in your life and what you want and how it'd make you feel to have what you want. Meditate. Do what you can to stay positive... but seriously try and take some time to think about what you appriciate in life.

Hope it helps....
