I've always lamented my tragic lack of culinary skills. It's a fact that makes the end result of cooking for myself almost unbearably agonizing to ingest. In my time, I've managed to screw up the most basic of food preparations.

I've burned eggs, overcooked ramen noodles, and dear god, left the electric burner on after cooking a whole pot's worth ( Read more... )

Out of context, that quote means something a little different. :)

But I'll bet it's not as good as an Iron Chef's boiled water. I just know it.

No water is as good as Iron Chef's boiled water. It's imported from glaciers and slowly roasted.

Not being able to cook, but still enjoying food is not a crime dear. It's a beautiful thing.

Today, subsiding_leaf and I went to Club Singapore's annual dinner which featured mostly Singaporean dishes made by its members.

I initially misread that as "...made from its members." I need to get out more. Or less. :)

Yeah, I should fix that. But I dunno--I think this is going to be a transitional layout. I already found another background that I might test out. I'll be a little bit before I really settle in, :D
