Well, don't be too hard on the U.S. system. In fact, the problem is not limited to this one alone. Hence, my proposed subject of PhD research - education reform...

Well, apparently they are going to cut history and science from the curriculum for kids who can't keep up in reading and math. They're going to take that extra time and force even more reading/math. Those kids are just going to end up hating school even more than they already do, and drilling really isn't the way to learn anything. It's clear that the problem lies in the fact that the concepts are not being presented properly. Jesus christ, the requirement to graduate from high school was what, geometry? Algebra II? It's not rocket science.

Way to go, D! Education reform. We need that.
