Hyper belated welcomes to my lovelies at Namimori: gouenji, pomeqranate, ceasefire, eclats_de_voix and boyues! ❤ I'm so glad there are so many awesome people in this TCG, and by now we're already getting along swimmingly, and I'm glad for that! (❀◡‿◡。) I go by Bel on TCGs, but my real name is Adorabelle (... no name jokes okay). I recently graduated from junior college and hopefully, am going ( Read more... )

Hi~ Glad to have met you too! c:

Your art is so awesome! *A*!! That first piece just blows me away. But the second one is beautiful too ♥

My DW is truce and my tumblr is ceasefires. I can add you on both of them too, if you wish?

I wish I could help you out with the books, but I mainly read YA fiction lately... or just fiction to do with apocalyptic futures. Or LGBTQ coming-of-age stuff. I need to expand my horizons again @_@

aw man thank you sarah ♥!! art is something i'm still so unpolished at, but i hope to get better at it somehow. /thinks 5927 and d18 fanart

yes please! followed you on both accounts!
ALSO i read your intro post and i notice YOU LIKE SQUALO/YAMAMOTO? ahaha i've always been interested in that pairing!! i don't even know why but... that chapter when squalo knocked yamamoto out and carried him away to some deserted forest in the future arc. ROFL. i just facepalmed

i've never tried those genres, actually! ' A ' are there any great titles you like worth mentioning? i'm actually pretty narrow in my exposure so i'm willing to try anything out! o/

LOL if that's unpolished, I'd hate to think what my attempts at art are XD

I followed you back~
LOL I do! My friend sort of got me into it as a side pairing to D18 and I've since read a lot of S80-only fics and stuff. So I can blame her XD

Well, not exactly apocalyptic future but three of my favourite books = The Outlands Trilogy by Jackie French, though I'm having a hell of a time finding them myself :( As for LGBTQ stuff... lol, I mainly just go through challenged/banned book lists and find instances of people trying to ban stuff because it promotes the "homosexual agenda". Yeeeeeeeah.

ETA: Oh, and if you like I can do up a small rec list for the LGBTQ stuff, but I'll have to do it tomorrow because it's almost 2am and I have to get up early to to make my other half breakfast before work, so he can sleep in a bit more XD;;

hehe, but you have great writing skills bb! and i need to specialise in art to go to uni orz /headdesk but i know you're trying to comfort me heh *pinches cheeks* ♥ ♥

i'll take a look at those titles! wow, that's a very interesting choice of books, to read from a banned list! that's quite interesting to read to find out what kind of cultures reject specific aspects of homosexuality... never mind the fact that the internet is another ample source, cough. i would love to have that rec list! * A * i'll anticipate it! ♥ in the meanwhile, rest well bb! oh man sarah you're such a good girlfriend :">

TSK TSK kome-chan you're horrible!! not to mention you're the one who coined dobs HAHAHA (i have to admit, that was some skillz since everyone started calling me that in jc)

aw man, thank you my lovely! i want to thank you so much for the support during that period as well! i felt so much more pumped up to work on it because of your feedback and affirmation ♥ i'm still scared of using colours but asf;laksdfj yes yes i must conquer this fear! >(

♥!!!!

i believe you're already building momentum, bb. for some reason, i think your working style is *builds power* *SUDDENLY LAUNCHES BOSS POWER ATTACK* (especially when you consolidate everything together)
FAITO BB!! are you still in the midst of researching?

i did alot of researching but all i found was tons of modern-ish sculpture thats super geometric.. and modern looking. Which isn't quite my thing, haha. So i went back to all of my favourites -Klimt, petah coyne, and rodin, and i'm hoping to be able to synthesise those into something, but i'm still looking out for other possible references as well. I still haven't figured out what exactly it is that i want this work to be, so i'm working on that as well... in the mean time i'm going through images of photos of my favourite places (hanayashiki, ghibli museum), and asian architecture. @___@ - i REALLY want to go buy a thicker klimt book, and a petah coyne book as well, lol it feels like i have found my art loves or something egad now i can sort of understand how mr chia is all GERHARD RICHTER because honestly now i am all GUSTAV KLIMT ( ... )

modern sculpture certainly doesn't suit your image XD i'm glad you have quite the resource of first-hand experiences with sculptures you like as well as the ability to source out inspirations! i'm sure you'll be able to come up with something, no worries! keep drawing, my lovely! even though it's not directly related, i think it helps in visualising. ganba with observational drawings, i think it's definitely a start!

i'm totally with you about the blank slate orz just giving you a space isn't enough to materialise an image @___@ it's really huge challenge, GANBA BB!! just keep in mind that as long as you're not stagnating, everything is okay! i'm glad you have plans for yourself and you seem to be advancing on your own without any guidance very well ^ ^

i'll keep working on it!! o7 i think you have inspiration! just inertia D: i bet you have lots of kpop pictures ready to be drawn but it's always so hard to start!

when i saw your bicycle piece, my first reaction was FORSWORN. l-lol, i've been playing too much skyrim. but i think your take on a "bicycle" is unusual and uniquely your style! it's intriguing!

the painting - acrylic, as in you did it on canvas? o: or is it also digital ahahaha. the shadows on the door to the right... they feel sinister, as though some kind of being is about to take form!

HAHA i google'd that, and I can see why! THEM ANTLERS. listening to you and nicole talk about skyrim also makes me endlessly interested! is it a good game to pick up? * A *
thank you very much, i'm glad you like the concept! ♥ my technical skill is admittedly not one of the best so i can foresee myself failing epic-scale if i submitted a hyperrealistic attempt, so i hope the concept is appealing, at the very least!

ah, it's acrylic on cartridge paper! (though i intend to try oil on canvas one day!) hehe, i'm very glad to hear that! *_* i was running around the house arranging curtains and doors in hopes of achieving that sort of lighting for quite a while x'D

if you like RPGs and lots of fighting i highly recommend the game :3 but it's very time-consuming! and sometimes you end up investing a lot of emotion into certain storylines and characters haha, kind of like the sims. i was really, really upset when my "family" was killed in the game lol, like way more upset than one should get over a game.

i think this piece really conveys the way you see the world and your art ♥ it's beautiful in a way that is heightened when the viewer knows who you are, so for someone who has yet to get to know i think it feels a little like finding an antique key and knowing that they have a chance to open a door to somewhere amazing and beautiful ♥

oh wow, such dedication bb! haha i was asking because i couldn't believe that this was a scan-in HAHA. i was so sure it was digital!

wow, the fact that you make it sound so emotionally-engaging makes me even more intrigued! i think i'll hit up download links and give it a shot when i have some time! i love the sims * A * i'm very surprised to see you draw a link to skyrim though, i thought on the other side of the spectrum altogether. XD i assume it's not an online game, then? o A o

you and your words always make me... asd;lasdf TT A TT i'm glad it reveals at least a little of who i am, because it motivates me into thinking i'm slowly uncovering my own style. i'll keep working on it! just like how you're (red)discovering writing, i'll work on art and let's discover our own personal styles together ♥

HAHA it's actually a photograph! 8D the original was around 40 by 50 cm and my scanner is too small. XD i'm glad the colours still came out okay! i was taking photos about ten minutes before i had to rush out of the house and to fedex X'D

ankeeee!! ; A ; ♥ (hugs) i'm so glad you can relate to it. especially for you, someone who is highly engaged with her emotions, i think that's exceptionally high praise for me! art always hopes to touch someone inside where it means the most. :"> thank you for your kind words, and it's my greatest pleasure!! ♥

r-really? ; w ; thank you for the compliment, abby! for some reason, i've always feel horrified towards girly or cutesy things/names, but i will grow to like it! * A *

YES, speaking of studying groups, b1a4 was one of the only groups i studied as well. i think it had something to do with their unique debut info leakage (laughs) they promoted through the manga-like drawings right? i was so intrigued by the drawings, and they also debut on my birthday. *_* i think bilasa's image is really different! it's like... they don't try to be cool at all X'D they just fool around and effortlessly emanate cute vibes, for srs
