here Personality:
The Boss is every bit the perfect soldier, perhaps a little too much so. Extremely loyal and self-sacrificing, she wouldn't hesitate to give her life or her happiness to protect her country or save the world. These traits bleed over into her relationships: while not always the warmest of people, she is very dedicated to those close to her, whether they are related by blood or not. The bond between The Boss and her protégé, Naked Snake, is stronger than one between family members or even lovers, and she continually pushes him to reach his full potential. Her devotion to her team, the Cobra Unit, is also very strong, as they soon become a highly efficient and powerful group. She also cares very deeply for one of her teammates, The Sorrow (who fathered her only child, and promised to watch over The Boss after his death).
Her whole life has been focused on training to become the perfect operative. As a soldier she is determined, hard-working, and innovative: leader of the Cobra Unit at a young age, she led many special operations in World War II to assist the Allies, and later she and Snake developed the highly specialized CQC (Close Quarters Combat) technique. Devoted to her duties, she acquired titles like "The Legendary Solider" and "Mother of Special Forces" for her profound integrity and immense skill. Backing down has never been an option for her; she must fulfill her mission, even if it requires landing at Normandy on D-Day while pregnant or assassinating a lover working for the other side. As such, she admires those with the same traits of fidelity and conviction that she herself possesses, and looks down upon those who are not true to themselves or their ideals.
Because of this fierce drive and great charisma, she comes off as rather unapproachable, radiating an aura of strength and authority as she easily gives orders. Her reputation follows after her closely; even those of higher rank respect and sometimes fear her. The Boss has a serious attitude and is good at controlling her emotions - the job always comes first - and as such it is hard to tell what she's thinking much of the time. However, if you get close enough to her, you can see a peculiar sense of humor shine through her no-nonsense expression. (She has a penchant for puns in particular, and she's not above a good joking insult once in a while.) Still, she knows when to have fun and when to be completely serious, the latter situations predominant in her life.
In her line of work she's seen much of war, but despite this (or perhaps because of it) she dreams of the world one day uniting as one, under a peaceful banner. Unfortunately, many others don't see things her way, particularly the United States government, an organization she is so unswerving in defending. Disappointment and betrayal by the government has rattled The Boss's faith in it, yet she still holds true to her dreams and her pride as a soldier. She has been and always will be a true patriot, until the day she dies.

Powers/Abilities:
Despite being totally hardcore, The Boss is completely human with no extra powers. The Boss, having developed CQC, is extremely proficient in both armed and hand-to-hand combat. Her knife work is second to none, and her signature gun, the Patriot, is a modified carbine that is notoriously hard to handle due to its modifications. However, The Boss fires it with only one hand (as opposed to the required two), showcasing her sheer skill and strength. Aside from weapons handling, her physical strength is above average, and constant exercise and martial arts training keeps her in top shape. She has all the qualities of a good soldier, including stealth and the ability to think quickly and make decisions. As a human from a (mostly) historically accurate past Earth, she has no magical/supernatural abilities except extreme badassness.

The Boss stared at the gun in her hands. On any other day it would be almost weightless, easy to use. Today it felt like lead, dragging her arms down. Her fingers tightened around the metal. It was still slightly warm. She swore she wouldn't let this get to her. She was The Boss, The Mother of Special Forces, The Legendary Soldier - so many code names, so many ideals and oaths and promises. She didn't have time to get emotional. Couldn't afford it, especially when there was a job to be done.
But the job was over now, a small voice in the corner of her mind reminded her. It was over once you shot him, right through the eye. That's why your gun is so heavy. She grunted and dropped the gun. It landed with a clatter on the wood beside The Sorrow's body. There. Now the gun wouldn't weigh anything at all.
But the heavy feeling didn't go away. She clenched her fists, anger boiling up inside her. They had decided that she would be the one to live, that her life and the life of their son was more important than anything else, but it still wasn't -
No. No. The anger slowly subsided, and she took a deep, calming breath. This was war; no matter what anybody said, it was still a war. It was their job, for both of them. They knew what they had signed up for. America needed her, she reminded herself. And when America was in need, she would be there. She bent over and picked up her gun, not looking at the body. Someone would be along to collect it (no one would get it, no one cared which of them lived through this mission), and she had better be out of there before that (she would kill anyone who ran into her here).
As long as her son was safe, as long as America needed protecting, she would be there. She would do what was asked of her, because she was a true patriot. As she walked away from the bridge, her gun felt light in her hands again.
