Wow. You've been having nightmares for 2 weeks straight? That sucks dreaming that your best friend died, maybe your worried about something or somethings suck in your mind. I learned that dreams are really just your thoughts, whether its right or not I'm not sure but maybe you'll figure it out. Whenever I have nightmares, I would try to think of other places or people I love, and poof I'm in that place with those people. Anyways, this is Melody (www.myspace.com/only1ne) I have you on my myspace, and though we never really got to talk, I think your adorable. Well, I'm going to add you on my LJ. Add me back if you'd like. I hope things gets better for you, take care and I'll talk to you later.

darling, go to sleep. anonymous January 26 2006, 01:59:35 UTC
hey, i know how it feels to be scared of going to sleep. i used to dream i was drowning and wake up gasping for air. a tip my dad gave me: "when youre dreaming, and youre scared, you have to remind yourself its just a dream and take control. from there, you can wake yourself up."

that really worked for me and now i can breath underwater in all my dreams, but it takes practice.

also, if you keep having the same dream, eventually you can predict the ending and will actually get so used to it, it wont be as shocking.

what helps me alot is falling asleep to something beautiful like mae or copeland; it'll relax you and put you in a better state of mind.

if none of that works, try staying very busy in the day and doing physical things; the more worn out you are physically, the more energy your body has to make up for during sleep, and your body will be too exhausted to let your mind play tricks.
hope this helps!

wow, that sucks, especially on my birthday (july 9th)..but anyway, nightmares are often the result of fears, worries, and anxiety. and your dreams, no matter how abstract or weird, can give hints as to what is bothering you or the solutions to problems, etc. or they're influenced by what was on the tv when you fell asleep :P. those dreams are often crazy. but judging the dream, you may have a fear of losing her in some way. or since I don't know what you're relationship is like with you and her, it may have given to something else that's bothering you in your friendship (which according to dream analysists, is the meaning behind dreams with people you know dying, instead of it being a prediction (which is usually most people's fears when they hear that dreams often give clues of future events).
