Hey... I'm getting a little behind on these... and I'll have to read the poem when I get a little more time... but I can't help but respond to your last post! It IS worth it. When I was in 9th grade, I had a teacher who you, almost from the moment I met you, reminded me of. She was mature and supportive and lots of good things. And she (an English teacher) really helped me to start liking and exploring the English language. Without her... I might never have realized I had any skill in the area... and might never have looked into certain pieces of literature that have made my who I am... and might never have met you! So take heart, my lovely Shi... your efforts will pay off! Even if you never know how much effect you've had on a young mind... believe me... those effects are there.
(P.S. It's not her fault that I can't stop using elipses... that's all me)

hey - yuse - good to hear from you... and thanks- it does help to know that there might actually be some payoff for the pain ;) most of the time i recognize that, but student apathy is pretty hard to combat.

I'm glad I helped a bit :D. My birthday was actually really great! I spent time with both my family and my close friends and ate yummy things! It was probably one of the best ever. In the history of all humanity.
Oy. I think I may have just doomed myself for the next 20 years worth of birthdays. Ah well!
