It was an awful, harrowing, nerve-wrecking experience especially since everyone asked me every 5 minutes if I was nervous or prepared or scared and kept assuring me that I'd pass for sure...which just made me more anxious. I'm serenely surrounded by the pristine and natural wilderness that is Camp Warren. These first few days are preparing for the kids to come up which generally means grunt work and cleaning in the Health Service, organizing a shite load of paperwork, and relearning the fine art of picking out ticks from various body parts. I watched Cold Mountain tonight for the second time. I always enjoy watching movies here at school because the audience is so responsive. They Oooh and Ahhh and shriek with dismay at all the right parts. I was curious to discover that I liked the movie much better the second time around. I've always been the kind of person who really enjoys school---I admit it! I like learning and discussing and having professors to look up to and admire.
