Mugged. Mugged in my own parking lot at a little after 8 in the evening. I even looked around before pulling in but when I open my car door suddenly this guy is just there and the dog is barking (which I didn't remember hearing but I'm on the phone with a friend and she did) and he's demanding money but I don't have any because I haven't gone to ( Read more... )

OMG, so thankful you're okay!!!!!

Trust me I hate moving, as I'm still unpacking boxes, but yes start looking and move! I'll even come to help pack/move if need be (& I seriously hate moving) - lmk =)

Thanks sweetie, I may take you up on it or I may just call the movers, point to everything and say 'pack it all up please' and be done with it. Where to move to though? I hate moving too but it's a little too much like the wild west around here right now. LOL

That's horrible! I'm so glad you're okay though. Move. Move now. Your neighborhood sounds like it's going/gone downhill. Moving isn't fun but being in danger is even worse.

You're in the EastBay right? What about Danville? Is that still a nice area?

Danville? Lafayette? Vacaville? Napa? I'm going to just put out feelers and see what comes up for me, the dog and the cats. I just want a nice safe place oh and heat would be nice too. LOL

Thank you, yes the neighborhood has take a turn for the worse lately, it's true. I don't relish yelling "cover me" when I walk between the car and the house from now on, that's for sure.

Thank you. He came back later that night and rifled through my car but then he left me the extra car key on the seat. It's like he was saying 'sorry'? Or maybe he was just inept? It was not a 'smooth' mugging, you know? LOL

New year, new credit cards and another layer of identity theft protection; you got to love the modern world.
