Maybe a few generations from now that will change, but even then, the culture will still be determined by the privileged sector in power. And the culture created and maintained will inevitably promote that corresponding system. I guess it's true what they say; the more things change, the more they stay the same.
That said, I'd love to hear the discussion that prompted this post.

To me, present day American culture is unfortunately synonymous with good ole white, heterosexist patriarchy. So, no, I don't see a distinction between the two...or at least not yet.Out of curiosity, do you see a difference between American culture and English culture or any other country in which the power is held by a white, heterosexist patriarchy ( ... )
