It just keeps getting better! For some reason, I liked the format of this part better than the previous, now that I think of it. Easier on the eye for me, I guess. You've a way with endings, and how. :)

Oh, thank goodness. Considering what lovely messages you left me in Part One, I was seriously hoping I wouldn't drop the ball with Part Two. To some extent, that's why I prefer to just post finished works. That way, I can just throw it out there and run for cover. WIPs make me all fidgety and especially insecure. So, yay! that you like this one better ( ... )

Yesss River and Jack. And, I sincerely hope, John ;) I love John. XD

(and now it's canonically stuck in my brain that John and River are siblings, wtf, brain?)

Loving this still, especially the last two messages.

Madness is no apology.

Mercy is no sin.

Yes, I had canon characters! Woot! And you're right, that's definitely John. I also love John. XD I mean, like River says, John is to Jack as the Master is to the Doctor. OK, that is in my head-canon, which I admit has some very shady corners ( ... )

I've never considered that before. Maybe you should write a piece exploring that. :)

I will, as soon as I write "porn and villainy", "lawnmower porn", "victorian chastity kink" and "love in an exotic place" for the assorted people I owe fic.

... now that I look at the list I'm starting to wonder what people must think of my writing...

ANYWAY.

In fact, I might write one of those in the meantime and post it to give a bit of rest for people reading my work who find this a bit too heavy or unapproachable.

I can't speak for others and I do know a few people who get overburdened if there's too much angst fic floating around, but I've never yet come across a fic that was too heavy for me. :D

Okay, maybe I put a little too much thought into that. But it made it fun for me.

That's the important thing!

"... now that I look at the list I'm starting to wonder what people must think of my writing..."

Apparently, that we always want more.

"but I've never yet come across a fic that was too heavy for me. :D"

Good to know. :)

"That's the important thing!"

Sometimes, it's the only thing. Hahaha.

I kind of hate trying to respond to things in progress--I feel like I need to see the full form of something before I can formulate thoughts. Which is my way of apologizing for leaving really short, tepid comments :-)

Just wanted to say though that I still love how this is going and am even more intrigued than before. Also, I'm a total sucker for post-modern-y playing with structure and format, so I love how you're experimenting with those.

I know what you mean about commenting on WIPs. I very rarely read WIPs, nonetheless comment on them. I consume stories. I love to read them as a full experience. So to break it up like that is difficult for me. If you're the same way, I can understand why you have such a hard commenting then. I appreciate that you're commenting anyway. That means a lot.

Normally, I wouldn't post it until finished, but I wanted to get this out there before new material/info about River came out.

I'm very pleased that you're enjoying it so far. Also, I'm quite happy that you like my experiments with structure and format. It's fun on my side to play with that, but because I've never done that before, I don't know how the readers will react to it. I'm glad that it seems to be positive so far.

Thanks again for your feedback. It's very useful to know how its going over when I'm posting a WIP. Hopefully, I'll finish it quickly, as well as post some other finished pieces in the meantime.

*nods* I'm much the same. And, honestly, with the things I like the best, it's not even the first full read/watch-through that I like most. It's when I've learned it all well enough that I can hold the full thing in my head at once and see it all as a whole.

OOo, yes, I know the feeling.

Definitely :-) One of the great advantages of being in a fic-writing community, I think, is how easy and low-stakes it makes it to really experiment. Might as well take advantage!

"It's when I've learned it all well enough that I can hold the full thing in my head at once and see it all as a whole."

Very true. Definitely why, with my favorites, I come back and end up reading them over and over again. Because when they're really good, there's always something new to find and I love that. Like your story, Ceremonial.

Agree completely. You all are fantastic.
