Oh, thank you! Thank you! Thank you! First of all, I just love your writing in general, you've got an incredible mind. But secondly, Ten is still My Doctor and I'm stil gutted that I never got more than two episodes with Ten/River, so I was hoping someone would write about them. And how brilliant is this?! Makes total sense, because I have to believe they met after The Library and before the Byzantium, according to The Doctor's POV. I still think it was in between the 2009 Specials. After all, why would he say they "keep" meeting in the wrong order if he'd only met her once before? And why would he be so angry with her after he gave her life for him last time. It makes no sense. (Plus, the implication in SitL was that she'd seen Ten more than once anyway, they probably just weren't expecting that David would leave before getting to do anymore episode with Alex.)

But anyway, I digress. This explains everything perfectly, because he so would agree to go on a simple, harmless date with her. That's just how Ten was. And then of course it

It hadn't occurred to me until I read your reply, but you're right. This would be their first date from the Doctor's POV! Ha. Who needs a movie? I suspect the first date from River's POV was very similar in substance. And they wouldn't have it any other way.

Oh, thank you for what you said about my dialogue and action. I try really hard to juggle not having the characters get too wordy and then forget the progression of scene and on the flipside not get too much into description of scene and forget of progression of the characters' dialogue. It's always really reassuring to hear when you think I got it right.

Very happy to provide you with some 10/River. Even more happy that you liked it. It is too bad that we didn't get to see even one more instance with them together on the show before Eleven. Oh well.
