Sometimes, Sherlock is like a Vulcan. Both have emotion but they'd rather have a logical reason for indulging in it. And they both think it the height of rudeness to call them on it.

I'm really happy you enjoyed this and that you liked the sentence about angry mice. A loved one told me when she read that line that, "Yes! That's what it sounds like when YOU type." I disagree with her. I think it sounds like HAPPY mice chewing on wood when I type. Still.

excellent decriptions of what things sound/feel like w/ a head cod. This chap was quite entertaining with the mutant evolutionary S (def a possibility) and the line about the fire extinguishers. Heh.

I'm thrilled that you liked my descriptions. Also, I'm glad you think it caught the experience of a head cold. Actually, the really hard part for me to describe in this chapter was something I hoped people wouldn't be able to realize. I describe John eating eggs AND tomatoes and enjoying it. I eat neither of those things. In fact, I generally try to pretend they don't exist. So that was really hard. Anyway, I'm happy you like the bit about Sherlock perhaps being a mutant evolutionary branch. And the funny part about the fire extinguishers was that a day or two before posting that chapter, we had a small fire off our kitchen and were lucky to have a fire-extinguisher near at hand. And my first thought? John was right! Glad you liked this chapter. Thank you very much for reading and leaving me feedback telling me what you liked.
