Apparently because I've been spending so much time writing River, I'm starting to pick up her bad habits...

Luckily, not feeling any homicidal tendencies. Though, I have also been thinking a lot about the Master's characterization and thus probably wouldn't turn down world domination. :D

Love this. Am hooked. Glad I went searching for more intersting fic than my own humdrum attempts!

I'm so happy that you enjoyed this. I'm particularly glad that you are interested in reading more. I hope you like the part I posted today and the two ending parts I will post in the next couple days. Thank you very much for reading and reviewing!

(Also, I went to your livejournal, hoping to read some of your fic, since I very much doubt it's humdrum, as you said. But I have the talent to not see things right in front of my face and couldn't find any Doctor Who fanfic. Do you write DW fanfic? Could you link me to one?)

Ah, the enthusiasm! I need to find a way to bottle some! I haven't written anything decent for a good ten to fifteen years ::hangs head in shame:: - I get tons of ideas though. Sucks to be me. Actually, I'm feeling sorry for myself, and need to get out of the 15 year funk. I'll be in LA for Gallifrey this month. You going? I have lots a few DW stories knocking around in my brain, but they don't ever seem to translate well when I start writing them down!

(I wrote some FK and B5 fic back in the day, but nothing substantial since.... I'm not sure if it's worth putting on-line. I can start emailing segments of the one to you. 'Crisis!' - You might find amusing the measures I to took in procrastinating when graduate papers were due for my MLS degree. ::grin::)

Now, I'm Off to read the extra segments you posted! A treat for me!

I'm sorry it's taken me a while to reply. Life has been very hectic. :( And unfortunately because all my professors have colluded to have exams the same week, it looks to be hectic next week as well ( ... )

Oh, thanks! I really appreciate you leaving me comments on each of the chapters before you moved on to the next. It really helped me see how your reactions plotted along with the story. And I'm very glad that you feel everyone was in character. Also, I'm quite relieved you liked the OCs and plot.

"Dalek-Master!" Sounds like the Doctor's worst nightmare, huh? ;) And it seemed right to me that if River had any hint of the Time War, she'd study up on it. I think she'd feel compelled to on three levels. 1.) Emotional. She loves the Doctor and it's a big part of him. 2.) Intellectual. She is a professor some day. 3.) Basic curiosity. Build a fence, she'll want to look over it.

And the Rani. It amuses me to drop references to the Rani in River fics.

Thank you again!

Ah, I love you too. ;) Actually, I'd totally understand if/when readers hated me while reading this. It felt... really demanding to me. Emotionally and time-whimey-wise.

It's a wonderful compliment to have this story described as a roller-coaster. That's really the emotional strain I was looking for here.

As for River being evil... I see where you're coming from with using that word. Personally, I wouldn't describe her as evil. But I'm like Moffat, in the way that I don't believe in 'Evil' in storytelling. Evil to me means creating chaos and pain just for the sake of it. I believe people do horrible things, but they always have a motivation. River definitely has a motivation here. Which she explains a bit in upcoming chapters. But yes, it is difficult writing/reading a character you love doing things you'd find hard to forgive.

And yes, Weeping Angels are SCARY!
