(Also, I went to your livejournal, hoping to read some of your fic, since I very much doubt it's humdrum, as you said. But I have the talent to not see things right in front of my face and couldn't find any Doctor Who fanfic. Do you write DW fanfic? Could you link me to one?)

(I wrote some FK and B5 fic back in the day, but nothing substantial since.... I'm not sure if it's worth putting on-line. I can start emailing segments of the one to you. 'Crisis!' - You might find amusing the measures I to took in procrastinating when graduate papers were due for my MLS degree. ::grin::)
Now, I'm Off to read the extra segments you posted! A treat for me!

Still loving this, js. So very much in character, fantastic OCs, wonderful plot!
Dalek-Master! River studying the Time War! The Rani! That cliffhanger sentence!
*skips off to read next part*

"Dalek-Master!" Sounds like the Doctor's worst nightmare, huh? ;) And it seemed right to me that if River had any hint of the Time War, she'd study up on it. I think she'd feel compelled to on three levels. 1.) Emotional. She loves the Doctor and it's a big part of him. 2.) Intellectual. She is a professor some day. 3.) Basic curiosity. Build a fence, she'll want to look over it.
And the Rani. It amuses me to drop references to the Rani in River fics.
Thank you again!

It's a wonderful compliment to have this story described as a roller-coaster. That's really the emotional strain I was looking for here.
As for River being evil... I see where you're coming from with using that word. Personally, I wouldn't describe her as evil. But I'm like Moffat, in the way that I don't believe in 'Evil' in storytelling. Evil to me means creating chaos and pain just for the sake of it. I believe people do horrible things, but they always have a motivation. River definitely has a motivation here. Which she explains a bit in upcoming chapters. But yes, it is difficult writing/reading a character you love doing things you'd find hard to forgive.
And yes, Weeping Angels are SCARY!
