Thank you! I'm delighted that you enjoyed the fact that River kicked ass while strapped to a chair. When I was first playing with this idea, I had been planning for her to figure out a way to break out of her restraints and insinuate with the end of the scene that she killed her then. But then I thought, "Know what would be even more bad-ass? If River kills her without ever even leaving the chair." I'm so happy that you appreciated that. Thanks again!

Can one marry fic? Because if it were possible I'm pretty sure I'd propose to this story.

No, seriously, River's tone in this? I can just hear it: the steely but still almost sing-song quality you've written in parts. LOVE. I really hope we get to see her interact with Aunty Kovarian (and that River calls her that - I can't decide whether "Mummy" or "Aunty" is a creepier title for Melody to call her) as an adult because, man, River's wrath is just a gorgeous thing to witness and you've written it so beautifully here that it's my canon until it's moffucked.

I love how River interacts with the Stormcage guards: part teasing, part mothering, part total badassery. I love that River's collecting phds while in Stormcage and has them deliver the new journals to her cell. I loved this, "After all, River Song lies and when she tells the truth, it's not much better," because it's just so River. And I loved the moment when she says "he does" because of the way I could feel the tone in the interview room shift as River's true
