HP drabble: A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words
Drabble the third (these are not necessarily in order) requested by garnigal, who asked for Harry and Remus friendship. And somehow it ended up all about Sirius, anyway. That's just how I roll. ;-) Hope you like it! Takes place during OoTP. (and it's only R/S for those who want it to be)
"What was he like?" Harry asks, flipping through the old photo album. “I mean, really like?”
Remus sighs. The happy young man with his arms slung around James’ and Remus' shoulders does not much resemble the haggard version of his godfather that Harry has come to know.
What should he say? Adjectives like brash, handsome, brilliant - all true - run through his mind.
“He loved you madly,” Remus says, turning a page. Sirius tickles a chubby baby Harry, and their laughter rises up from the photograph.
From the expression on Harry’s face, Remus knows he said the right thing.
