We stood up, yesterday. We may not have fully shattered the 80% approval rating meme, but we did show - and in large numbers - that, at least for Alaskan women, Sarah Palin is not "just like us

Yay, you! This is such an important message.

I've been spending a lot of time explaining to people here in the deep south that yes, she is my governor. And no, that doesn't mean a) I voted for her then or b) I will vote for her now.

My friend Carrie was at that rally too, with some other teachers from her school.

And I'm sure you'll be SHOCKED to know that the Eddie Burke crowd is trying to spin the rumor that the protestors were either paid, homeless, bused in, or some combination thereof. Because, apparently, there's no room for differing opinion, here.

That wasn't always the case - even my hyper-religious parents spoke respectfully of the liberals they knew. (I want that Alaska back!)
