It's Friday the 13th, I'm staying in room 666 tonight, and today my doctor called me to tell me there were some abnormal cells in my pap. She said it's nothing to worry about, it's not cancer, but seriously, as if I'm not going to be worried? If she has to call me herself (which she's never done before in the five years I've been seeing her) and ( Read more... )

Oh my God. I would be freaked the hell out if I had to stay in room 666 on Friday the 13th!!

I was going to say, at least your cervical cells can be found, but that sounds insensitive. I shouldn't complain about being asked to go in for a THIRD pap smear in less than a year. Anyway, I hope it's nothing serious. I've heard that it's usually fine and that they are just being careful.

Good luck!

I understand the whole "weird cells on your pap - but don't be worried" situation. It's scary, but at least your doctor called you! Just the front desk person called me and made it sound like it was no big deal, I could wait a few months if needed. When I was like "no way am I going to wait!" and went in within a couple weeks, the nurse told me it was quite serious which again freaked me out like you wouldn't believe! Needless to say, I'm okay now (for the most part) and if your doctor said not to be too worried, and it was your doctor or your nurse and not some fool front desk person, then I wouldn't be too worried. But, get in sooner rather than later so you aren't worrying yourself to death. I'll be thinking of you!

Oh, btw this is off topic, but how are you? What have you been up to? How are the skies? I feel so out of touch with you and everyone. Talk to you soon!
