I’ve been hungering to re-read “Late Night Double Feature,” which I seem to do every month or so, but I made myself wait so that I could enjoy all her stories at once on this occasion. Thank you for all the flattery! I haven't written in a while, so it's especially nice to hear. I hope I get inspired again, but thus far it ain't happenin'.

Well, obviously I'll always be more than happy to read anything that you write, but I'd be amazingly pleased with myself if I'd been able to write any one of these wonderful stories . . . each time I re-read one of them, or a new person encounters them, in a way it's like you've written them all over, brand-new, for that occasion. That is one of the fascinating and rewarding things to me about the creation of a piece of writing, painting, music, or film: it's reborn each time it is experienced. (I particularly love the blend of tenderness, humor, self-deprecation, vulnerability, and strength that Xander displays in LNDF. And, of course, Spike's complexity, and the way his responses gradually unfold along with the story. These are all reasons why I keep coming back to it so often.)
