Well, once again, it's nearly the end of the birthday person's day, but I still want to offer a heartfelt "Happy birthday!" to dancinghorse. And I've friended you right back! I think you'll enjoy dancinghorse's journal, and I certainly enjoyed the little bit I skimmed of yours just now . . . your Colorado/NYC split and what you and your husband do in both places sound really interesting . . . I'm a historian myself, and before I ended up in teaching, I was quite interested in museum work, libraries, and preservation. When I think about a life beyond/after the classroom, those possibilities still intrigue me.

You're most welcome, and thank you! (And I'm still eager to gift you with an ad in the horse magazine of your choice--Chronicle of the Horse, Equus, whatever. I'd think that a description of the "winter" climate and those great photos of your horses should would be almost unbearably seductive.)
