Ah well. I managed to go three entire days into December before getting totally fed up with Christmas music. That's about an entire day longer than last year. Guess I haven't been listening to enough radio or something ( Read more... )

it is funnier that way.

in a charming, re-inventing the wheel because it's FUN, dammitt sort of way. a little like sandcasting hammer-heads out of the zinc inside new pennies. :)

Or at least, things that look vaguely like hammer-heads. :) It was a lot more successful (and smelled much better) than the lead fishing weight experiment, though.

speedy downloads anonymous December 10 2004, 14:09:02 UTC
Welcome to the world of painfully watching those numbers flash before your screen as you eagerly await what may (or may not) be a watchable or usable copy of something you look forward to. LOL! What we've found at least is that downloading goes much faster if you leave it strictly in full screen DOS if you use burst. If you have a spare computer, just leave it running in full screen DOS with that and hope there are enough copies up there running during your downloads or the insanity will just drag you down a looping spiral of anxious despair (ok, ok, that's a bit overdramatic, but I'm feeling wordy).

:) Just another random popping my head in yelling "I'M ALIVE!!" to old friends.
