Mornings are very Morning-like

Its just after 8:30 in the morning, and I have been at work for close to an hour and a half. Whee... I forget that I used to *do* mornings like this and enjoy them. Isn't it weird? (I also had a really early morning today, to prep for a presentation.)

Oddly enough, I'm not what I'd consider to be a morning person, and usually get a slow start to the day, but the really early lose-sleep-to-be-up mornings are often remarkably productive. Someday I'll figure this out...

(Actually, I may be misattributing deadline-productivity with morning-productivity. Given my penchant for mornings, they're often correlated. Hm.)

I know exactly what you mean. During the rare times when I am disciplined enough to keep it, sleeping 10pm-5am has always been a good schedule for me. There's something about it being dark out and knowing that no one else is up that helps me concentrate and get things done (or maybe just feel a bit superior). My best times for focusing have always been early morning and late night. During daylight hours I'm all over the place (hence posting on LJ from work at noon).

When I was in college I had really bad insomnia and one of the few good things that came of that was a lot of walks around campus at 4am. The sense of having a place all to yourself is amazing.

Wow. Did you fall straight into bed when you got home?

Strangely, no. I helped move literally a ton of rocks when I got home, then hosted a bridge game, then around 11 collapsed into bed. It was a pretty good day

You moved 2000 pounds of rocks? Wow! You're stronger than you look! :-)
