It’s amazing how different posting here is than onto those ‘other’ places online. No character limit. My relatives and high school friends aren’t here being confused or supportive. And while I’ve never made a secret of the ‘here’ most folks have moved on enough that - much like tumblr it feels like a hidden clubhouse of a platform - even more so

I love LJ and I always will. It's a real JOURNAL rather than the other stuff, which is more like a bulletin board. And the fact that it's so un-peopled makes it feel like a diary in my room, which is how I use it. I don't have any other social media after ditching FB during the "let's be mad at everyone" era of covid (which are we still in it?). I am glad you're still relatively OK. Love from Portland <3

Yea - I've missed this sort of outlet - and hey to be honest a whole bunch of poetry and writing came out of here and I can't say that about the Other Places. I've installed it on my work computer so... expect to see me around more. How is Portland? <3
