Is it possible to have a Holocaust movie completely devoid of emotional impact? I felt nothing during this movie, nor afterwards. I didn't care about the characters, nor how the story would play out. There's nothing really compelling to me about anything in this film.  I mean, at least there's lots of naked Kate Winslet scenes, but even her goddess

And it got nominated for Best Picture and the Wrestler got nothing.

Yeah, I saw it a few weeks ago and I was amazed at what a piece of crap it was. I mean, I'd heard it wasn't good, but I didn't think it could be that devoid of...well...anything. I'm so annoyed at all the Oscars it's nominated for. And while I really want Kate to get an Oscar I would hate for it be for this movie, especially since her role/performance in Revolutionary Road was so much more impressive. It was such a disappointment.
