It took me 2 hours to get to work this morning. Apparently there was a "malfunction" in the form of a "power outage" on the brown line track at Sedgewick. So, they rerouted all southbound brown and purple line trains through the red line subway. So, at rush hour, ALL red, purple, and brown lines were using the same track ( Read more... )

I'm taking a floor supervision class at the regional offices for work, and it meets every Monday from 5-9pm (I have to leave work at 4.30 to get there, and it's usually tight). So 2 Mondays ago I forgot the binder I have all of my class things in at home, so I had to run back to my house to get it- this in itself was going to make me maybe 15 minutes late (it's out in Winfield right next to I88 during Monday evening rush hour.... it's a really fun drive). So I'm hurrying and rushing, and get in and am driving to the class and get onto Roosevelt going west. I was in the right lane and was going to change into the left lane, but half through the change I decided not to because there was a truck in that lane and I figured I'd try and get around it first, so I went back into my lane - I was only half over the middle line anyhow. However, the guy behind me decided to step on it as soon as I started to change, and did not see me change to go back into my lane, so our cars had a bit of a knock. Damn that does suck!!

Job is totally fine. I keep meaning to post about how great things are going there, just never get around t posting about anything but bad shit I guess... bah.

What are you doing on Sunday?
